Lost In Vancouver
Photography by Gary Moore
The east end of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada is synonymous with drugs, homelessness, poverty and death. Countless faceless people who have fallen through the cracks, men and women who have been robbed of their souls with every needle and haul off their crack pipe or swig from cheap rice wine.A twisted reality of cardboard boxes and stained blankets in a graffiti covered doorway, battered shopping carts filled with worldly possessions in wrinkled plastic bags lingers nearby.
Yet, they have names like Brent, Terry, Bo and Nadine and all are fathers or mothers, sons or daughters and none of them deserve a life like this.
